Our aim is to provide a localised resource which will give an insight into

 

the history and development of road transport

 

The current building has been constructed by our volunteer members.

 

We are now seeking funding to extend it, in order to provide a dedicated exhibition hall.

 

 

To tell the story we will utilise complete vehicles and smaller exhibits of

 

historic merit, local interest, or with railway connections.

 

Our current collection of vehicles shows aspects of road making and

 

developments in the transport of goods and passengers.

 

 

We are based at The Midland Railway- Butterley in Derbyshire.

 

Diverse aspects of our industrial heritage have been brought together

 

in one complex, to ensure that a visit is more than just a train ride.
